Which path to choose
If you have a bank account from the list of identification providers and correct customer data, try the banking method. It allows you to verify your profile without a separate visit. If the bank is not supported or the identification fails, use the personal confirmation point. Not all methods on pz.gov.pl are suitable for a foreigner: video verification is related to the requirements of Polish documents.
What to prepare
You need PESEL, access to your e-mail address and telephone, and for a personal visit - a valid identity document, such as a passport or residence card. The data in the declaration must match the PESEL register and the document. Differences in the transliteration of the name is better to find out before signing important statements.
How to find a place to visit
Use the list of points on pz.gov.pl, not just the nearest bank branch. The point can be a municipality, tax or other specified institution. Check the record, the clock and that the service is really called potwierdzenie profilu zaufanego. A self-selected bank is not necessarily such a point.
Price, duration and result
Creation and use are free. Once confirmed, the standard profile is valid for three years. Check the date in the personal account and the possibility of renewal before expiration. Creating an account without verifying your identity does not mean that you can already sign petitions.
If no SMS comes
Do not ask a friend to accept the code for you. For problems with a foreign number, the official service desk indicates +48 42 253 54 50, working days 7:00–18:00 Polish time. If you do not have access, use the default recovery on pz.gov.pl. Do not share your codes and passwords over the phone.
Testing after creation
Log in via login.gov.pl to the desired service. When sending the application, complete the signature separately and receive a delivery confirmation: one login through the profile does not yet send the document. For MOS, the portal account and the trusted profile are different things, both are needed.
